1977 – Leaders in Volunteerism became a reality with a Board of Directors, Officers, and eight various sub-committees.
1981 – Authorization to operate as a Non-Profit Organization was granted.
1992 - The LIV Scholarship Program was developed.
2015 - The transformation of the LIV Scholarship Program into a LIV Grant Program was started.

Being a part of LIV has been a wonderful experience! As a member we connect with professionals and peers in the community that share struggles, accomplishments, goals, and ideas. You have an opportunity to be a mentor and mentor others at the same time. LIV is made up of diverse organizations and expertise working together to further the professional development of volunteer coordinators and empower more community volunteers. Meetings and trainings relate to our goals and struggles and the friendships have been invaluable. LIV membership is an amazing resource for everyone who works with volunteers.
